HarmonyOS Settings: the Huawei menu, from the Android-based 3.0 to the native 6.0
Huawei's Settings app keeps the shape of the EMUI list it grew out of, with a few rows no other phone has: Super Device, Digital Balance and, since HarmonyOS NEXT, an Intelligence section at the top. How HarmonyOS organises its Settings
HarmonyOS 6 opens with HarmonyOS Intelligence, the home of Celia, AI voice, subtitles and writing tools, placed above the radios so it is the first thing you see. Then the familiar stack: Airplane mode, WLAN, Bluetooth and Mobile network, followed by Notifications & status bar, Sounds & vibration, Display & brightness and Home screen & wallpaper. Huawei spells Wi-Fi as WLAN throughout, which trips up people searching for it.
Battery and Storage come next, then the trust group: Biometrics & password, Security, Privacy. Apps & services, System & updates and About phone follow, with Software update, Language & input, Backup & restore and Reset all under System & updates. The lower list holds the Huawei-specific rows: Super Device for the cross-device pairing, Accessibility features, Digital Balance for screen time, Users & accounts, More connections for NFC and Huawei Share, and Smart assistance for AI Touch, knuckle gestures and Air gestures.
What changes between versions
Four releases are here. HarmonyOS 3.0 and 4.2 still run apps on an Android runtime and show the plain list without an Intelligence section. HarmonyOS 5.0, marketed as NEXT, is the first native release, and the simulator adds the HarmonyOS Intelligence row above the account for it. HarmonyOS 6.0 keeps the same layout with the section renamed for the release. About phone reports the HarmonyOS version you chose.

Where a MatePad, FreeBuds or MateBook is paired for the drag-together feature. It is a root row rather than a sub-entry of Bluetooth, and there is no equivalent on other phones.

Questions people ask about HarmonyOS settings
Why is there no Wi-Fi row in HarmonyOS Settings?
Huawei calls it WLAN. It is the second row of the list, immediately under Airplane mode, and holds the same network list and options as Wi-Fi does elsewhere.
What is different about HarmonyOS 5 and 6 in Settings?
They are native HarmonyOS with no Android runtime, and they add a HarmonyOS Intelligence section at the top for Celia, AI Voice, AI Subtitles and AI Writing. The rest of the list matches 4.2.
Is this the real HarmonyOS?
It is a simulation of the Settings app: the rows, wording and order of each release, with sample device values. No apps run and nothing connects to a Huawei account.
