Samsung rewrites Android's Settings more than any other maker: the list is longer, the names are its own and the big cards at the top of each page are a One UI signature. How One UI organises its Settings
Connections replaces Android's Network & internet and bundles Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, mobile networks and the hotspot. Connected devices follows for Quick Share, Galaxy Buds and SmartThings, then Modes and Routines, Sounds and vibration, Notifications, Display and Wallpaper and style. Lock screen and AOD is Samsung's own row for the lock type and Always On Display. Security and privacy holds biometrics, Auto Blocker, permissions, Samsung Pass and Secure Folder.
Battery and device care is the maintenance hub: battery, storage, memory, device protection. One UI 9 adds Warranty and care beneath it, with the warranty period, diagnostics and repair booking. Advanced features carries Bixby, S Pen, Motions and gestures, the Side key and Labs. Digital Wellbeing and, since One UI 9, a separate Parental controls row follow, then Accessibility, General management, Software update and About phone.
What changes between versions
Five releases are here. One UI 6.1 on Android 14 and One UI 7 on Android 15 share the sixteen-row list, and One UI 8 and 8.5 on Android 16 keep it. One UI 9, on Android 17 and launched on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, adds Warranty and care and moves Parental controls out of Digital Wellbeing into a row of its own, so the list reaches eighteen. About phone reports the One UI, Android and patch level you chose.

New in One UI 9: battery, charging, sensor, network and security checks in one place, with Bixby troubleshooting and an estimated repair cost.
- Settings > Security and privacy > Auto Blocker
Blocks sideloaded installs, USB commands and message-borne malware. It is on by default since One UI 6.1 and is the reason an APK will not install on a Galaxy.
- Settings > Advanced features > Side key
Whether holding the power button calls Bixby or shows the power menu. Most new owners want the second and find it here rather than under General management.
Questions people ask about One UI settings
Why is Samsung's Settings list different from stock Android?
One UI renames and regroups the list, Connections instead of Network & internet, Lock screen and AOD, Battery and device care, and adds rows for Samsung services. The simulator also has stock Android for comparison.
Where are parental controls in One UI 9?
On their own Parental controls row, just below Digital Wellbeing. In One UI 8.5 and earlier they live inside the Digital Wellbeing page.
Is this the real One UI?
It is a simulation of the Settings app with the rows and wording of each One UI release. The device name, Knox version and IMEI shown are sample values and no apps run.
